Welcome to Whispering Oaks, a charming 8-bedroom bed and breakfast located in the heart of George, South Africa. Established in 2003, our guest house has a long history of providing guests with a comfortable and convenient home away from home.
At Whispering Oaks, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and hospitality. Our ongoing restoration and redecorating efforts ensure that our guests enjoy modern amenities and a stylish, welcoming environment. Each of our seven en-suite bedrooms is furnished with high-quality mattresses, white percale linen, flat-screen televisions, and DSTV.
Our prime location on Caledon Street makes us the perfect choice for business travelers, golf enthusiasts, and holidaymakers alike. We are within walking distance of the town center, as well as many excellent restaurants, the Botanical Gardens, and the George Museum. We are also just a few minutes’ drive from two beautiful beaches: Victoria Bay and Wilderness beach.

Room 1A
executive suite
This beautifully decorated room is situated in the historic house on the second floor. It has a king size bed and a large built in wardrobe. This room is perfect for a family as the the smaller inter-leading room has two single pull-out beds. This room doubles as a TV snug with large flat screen television and private balcony to enjoy the sunrise. The bathroom has a bath, as well as a shower. Tea/coffee facilities as well as bar fridge is available to guests on the staircase landing at the room entrance. This room can be booked in conjunction with Room 1B for a larger family.
Room 1B
deluxe room
This newly renovated room is situated on the second floor of the historic house and can be booked with Room 1A for larger families. It has an antique four poster double bed with ensuite bathroom and a large desk, perfect for business travellers. Tea/coffee facilities as well as a bar fridge is available to the guest on the landing of the staircase at the entrance of the room. The room also has a large built in wardrobe and flatscreen television.
Room 2
luxury room
This spacious bedroom has a private entrance from a lush courtyard. It has a king size bed, clothing rail and chest of drawers for storage. The bathroom includes a walk-in shower, underfloor heating and a heated towel rail. The room has a flatscreen television with selected DSTV channels. All our rooms have a coffee/tea tray, microwave and bar fridge for your convenience. A tray breakfast can be requested to enjoy in the privacy of your room or in the courtyard.
Room 3
luxury room
Our newly renovated Room 3 is a spacious room and shares a courtyard with Room 2. It can also be used in conjunction with Room 2 for two couples traveling together or for a larger family. It has a queen sized, extra length bed. The bathroom is spacious with a double basin and walk-in shower. The room has a flatscreen television with selected DSTV channels. All our rooms have a coffee/tea tray, microwave and bar fridge for your convenience.
Room 4
standard room
Room 4 forms part of the annex behind the historic house. It is a smaller room recommended for single occupancy. It is a standard room with queen sized extra length bed and has a private entrance from patio. It has a clothing rail and chest of drawers for storage. The room has a flatscreen television with selected DSTV channels. All our rooms have a coffee/tea tray, microwave and bar fridge for your convenience.
Room 5

Room 5 forms part of the annex behind the historic house. It is a smaller room recommended for single occupancy. It is a standard room with an extra length double bed and has a private entrance from patio. It has a clothing rail and chest of drawers for storage. The room has a flatscreen television with selected DSTV channels. All our rooms have a coffee/tea tray, microwave and bar fridge for your convenience
Room 6
inter-leading twin
The room has twin three quarter beds with good quality mattresses and white percale linen. It is equipped with a larger fridge, microwave and toaster. It forms part of the annex behind the historic house and has a garden setting with private entrance. It is equipped with a flatscreen television with select DSTV channels. All our rooms have a coffee/tea tray, microwave and bar fridge for your convenience.
Room 7
inter-leading luxury
The room has an extra-length queen-size bed with good quality mattress and white percale linen. The room has a larger fridge, microwave and toaster. The room has inter leading access to Room 6 which is great for families.
